Assoc. Prof. Mai Huong BUI

Assoc. Prof. Bui Mai Huong is currently the Head of the Department of Brand Management and Communications, and a Lecturer in the Textile Engineering Division at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.

She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Innsbruck, Austria, in 2008, and was appointed Associate Professor at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City in 2018.

Research interests:

• Cellulose-based and sustainable textile materials
• Modification of natural fiber-based textiles
• Surface modification of textiles using physical and chemical technologies
• Cosmetotextiles, nanotechnology, and microencapsulation
• Testing, quality assessment, and textile processing
