On the afternoon of February 27, Dong A University hold a seminar "ChatGPT in education - benefits and challenges". Discussions were held in the form of face-to-face and online.

After a period of analysis and multi-dimensional assessment of the impact of ChatGPT on teaching and learning activities, the seminar was held to make appropriate recommendations for each training major at the university. This is also the starting activity for the method improvement chain related to applying new technology in training work at Dong A University.

Accordingly, at the seminar, 03 presentations were coming from units. They are Influence of ChatGPT on science and education; Assessing the impact of ChatGPT on the Department of Information Technology of Dong A University; How to experience ChatGPT?

The presentations all commented on the outstanding capabilities that ChatGPT - a product of OpenAI, can bring. Currently, this feverish tool has even passed many other popular tests. Besides, through actual surveys on the software, there are still limitations of ChatGPT in search data entry operations, evaluating results, etc. However, it still has a significant impact on different majors and fields.

The presentations also specifically analyzed the effects of ChatGPT in the information technology faculty of Dong A University and predicted its impact on coding skills in IT.

The program also brought a lively discussion session with many debates and criticisms from the founding, research, and experience of the Board of Directors and the university's faculties, departments, institutes, and centers.

ChatGPT is one of the "hot" topics being discussed and researched the most at schools recently. From the beginning of 2023, the Board of Directors of Dong A University has also oriented and implemented to promote research in each major for practical application in teaching and learning at the school.

Next time, the school will also create a series of seminars to discuss between experts, lecturers, and students about ChatGPT to minimize negative impacts and effectively promote the positive effects of AI in education.
