08 students from France are currently undertaking an international exchange semester at Dong A University in the days leading up to Tết.
The Spring 2026 exchange semester lasts four months (from January 25 to May 25) and is the result of a collaboration between Dong A University and the University of Lille (France). Alongside their studies and professional development, the students are also directly experiencing Vietnamese Tết at Dong A University and in the beautiful city of Da Nang.
Enjoying the Vietnamese Tết Experience
Student Floriane Philippe shared: “These days, the city is beautifully decorated for Tết, and Dong A University is the same. I find it wonderful. People walk through the streets in traditional outfits and take photos, creating a festive atmosphere. Thanks to this international internship at Dong A University, we have the opportunity to experience Vietnamese Tết.”
“I truly love Vietnam - its culture, cuisine, landscapes - and I hope to return with my family so they can discover this place as well,” Floriane added.
For Zoé Coquart, the atmosphere in Da Nang during these days is very lively. Everywhere is decorated, especially schools, which are beautifully prepared for Lunar New Year. Zoé is very much looking forward to experiencing the festive activities.
“Vietnam is a wonderful destination with a fascinating culture! I’m very happy to be here and hope to return to this country someday,” Zoé said excitedly.
Simon Degres expressed his anticipation of exploring more places in Da Nang in the time before Tết.
Fiona Capon is delighted to discover Vietnamese culture through the Tết holiday. She is particularly impressed by the Tết decorations at the university gate, across the campus, and in the lobby of Dong A University.
Fiona plans to return to Vietnam after completing her internship to visit other cities in the country.

Professional Development Through an International Exchange Semester at Dong A University
The international student exchange program for the French students lasts about four months. Under the guidance of lecturers from the International Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (IAD) at Dong A University, the students will go through various stages to complete research projects on AI applications in their respective fields.
Floriane Philippe shared that upon arrival, she and her peers were excited to explore the beautifully decorated Tết spaces on campus. Dong A University students are very dynamic and friendly, always welcoming international students with openness and warmth.
Floriane will study at Dong A University for about four months. “I’m learning how to work in teams, communicate better in English, and improve my programming skills as part of a project on evaluation analysis across e-commerce platforms and recommendation systems,” Floriane said.
For Zoé, Dong A University provides an excellent environment for study and research. Everyone at the university is very friendly and approachable.
“I will study here until May. I hope to learn more about artificial intelligence and computer programming to explore how it can be applied in the textile industry,” Zoé shared. She also expressed her strong interest in having another internship opportunity like this in the future.
Simon Degres hopes to acquire new skills, enhance his knowledge, and gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture through this international internship. He also hopes to return to Vietnam and Dong A University in the future, saying, “I truly enjoy my time here and would love to come back again.”

In recent years, international student exchange activities between Dong A University and partners in South Korea, Japan, France, Taiwan, and others have been strongly promoted in both scale and quality. At the same time, Dong A University students are continually offered expanded opportunities to study, conduct research, intern, and work at universities and enterprises across the region and around the world.
