On January 6, the opening session of the International Conference “Data Science in Business, Finance and Industry” (DSBFI) 2025 officially took place at Dong A University.
This is the 3rd conference co-organized by the International Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of Dong A University (IAD) in collaboration with the International Society of Science and Applied Technologies (ISSAT).
This is also the 42nd international conference and the 11th international conference on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, co-organized by Dong A University in collaboration with research institutes, universities, scientists and experts from Vietnam and abroad.

The workshop took place continuously for 3 days, from January 6 to January 8, in a combination of face-to-face and online formats. With 6 consecutive working sessions, the workshop gathered 21 professional reports presented and discussed by more than 30 experts from universities and research institutes in 8 countries and territories around the world: the United States, France, Japan, Korea, China, India, Taiwan and Vietnam.
The working sessions were allocated to focus on the main topics of: Explainable Machine Learning and Maintenance Policy; Data-Driven Modeling and Simulation; Predictive Analytics Models and Their Applications; Statistical Machine Learning Models and Their Applications; Predictive Modeling, Analysis and Optimization.
Within the framework of the workshop, ISSAT representatives also decided to award the Best Paper Award to authors whose research works were highly appreciated and presented at the workshop, including the topics: Lightweight federated learning model for load prediction using data from smart meters, Joint optimization of predictive maintenance policies for equipment and spare parts ordering when considering spare parts types.
As an international forum on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, the workshop is expected to be a space for knowledge sharing, presenting advanced research and discussing solutions to major challenges that businesses and industries are facing today, contributing to the premise of promoting ideas that bring meaningful impacts to society and the global economy.
