Professor Pascal Bruniaux

Pascal Bruniaux (PhD) is currently Full Professor and Research Supervisor-Section CNU61 at the “Ecole Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textiles” (ENSAIT) and the GEMTEX laboratory. 

Pascal Bruniaux was born in Denain, France, in 1959. He received the Ph.D. degree in automatics from the Lille University of Science and Technology, Villeneuve d.Ascq, France, in 1988.,In 2007, he became a Full Professor in Computer, Automatic and Signal Processing. He has authored or coauthored about 17 scientific book chapters, one scientific book, 73 papers in reviewed international journals and presented about 105 papers at international conferences, and has been the supervisor of 23 Ph.D. students.

Research interests

  • Theme 1: Modeling, simulation and multi-scale perception of textile materials.
  • Theme 2: Modeling of the Human/Clothing/Environment interface.
  • Theme 3: Analysis and classification of typical and atypical human morphologies.
  • Theme 4: Development of a personalized co-creation process by integrating 3D virtual prototyping, human perception and knowledge.
