On July 3, Prof. Tran Van Tho gave a presentation at Dong A University on the topic "The world around us and the development path of Vietnam" through face-to-face and online formats.

The program attracted 200 attendees in person and more than 2,000 online attendees from agencies, management levels, universities, etc. in the Central region - Central Highlands.

At the talk, Prof. Tran Van Tho shared the main contents:

• The world around us: Geopolitical fluctuations, competition between countries, between businesses, new trends in markets and technology
• Determinants of national competitiveness and new-age enterprises
• Vietnam's development path.

Professor Tran Van Tho is Professor Emeritus, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. He was a member of the Economic Advisory Group of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. Before that, he joined the economic and administrative reform advisory group of Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet and collaborated with the policy research department of Prime Minister Phan Van Khai. Professor Tran Van Tho holds a PhD in Economics from Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo. He is one of the first three foreigners invited to work on the Economic Advisory Council of the Prime Minister of Japan for many years and for many agencies of the Japanese government.
