Tết is the most essential and popular holiday or festival in Vietnam. It is the best occassion for enjoying and relaxing lives after a hectic year. During this time, people regularly come back home and get together with their families.

Bánh chưng is covered by green leaves (banana leveaves) and is to symbol of the Earth.

Bánh tét is also covered by green leaves and is to symbol of the mother who always protest and take care their children.

This activity is extremely interesting by children, since they receive a red envelope containing lucky money from their elders.
