Vietnam – Japan Cultural Exchange festival and the 8th Japanese Job day, 2023 at Dong A University

On March 9, at Dong A University, the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival and Japan Job Day 2023 took place. This was the 8th annual program organized by Dong A University, with many special cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973-2023).

Online and face-to-face participants of the program were representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Hanoi, Center for Japanese Cultural Exchange in Vietnam (Japan Foundation), Vietnam Japan Sports Culture Exchange Association (FAVIJA), Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City, Da Nang city departments, high schools in the area and more than 30 domestic and foreign affiliated enterprises.

With many cultural exchange activities between Vietnam and Japan and recruitment interviews taking place throughout the day, the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival and Japan Job Day 2023 at Dong A University opened freely for all students, high school students in the city to come and learn about Japanese culture, people, and language as well as directly interview with Japanese corporate recruiters. This year's festival attracts more than 5,000 attendees.


Speaking at the opening session, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan highly appreciated the integration dynamism and international solid cooperation progress that Dong A University has persisted for many years for training students to become qualified human resources working in an international environment. “In consolidating and developing the friendship between the two countries, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs highly appreciates the fact that Dong A University widely connects the network of partners with more than 130 units, which are Japanese provinces, cities, corporations, and businesses, organizes many classes of students who are enthusiastic about learning Japanese, organizes internship and working programs in Japan for students in many training majors. This well-invested and long-term cooperation model is worth learning and replicating.”

Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori - Consul General of Japan in Da Nang City, commented: “Dong A University has made efforts from a very early age to develop high-quality human resources - people with both specialized knowledge and Japanese, practical skills through internship programs..., provide useful human resources for Japanese companies. In addition, Dong A University also actively introduces Japanese culture, organizing exchanges with Japanese businesses. Therefore, the school has been and is a reliable presence not only for the Consulate General of Japan but also for Japanese companies operating in the city.”
