Welcome Prof. Michael Khoo Boon Chong to participate in International Chair of DS and XAI

Prof. Michael Khoo Boon Chong is currently Professor the at School of Mathematical Sciences, USM. He attends the International Chair of DS and XAI as a Senior Member and IAD member as a Visiting Professor.

Prof. Michael Khoo Boon Chong

Michael Khoo Boon Chong is a professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences, USM.

He received his PhD in Applied Statistics in 2001 from USM. His research interest is in Statistical Quality Control. He has published numerous articles in ISI/WoS indexed journals and has successfully supervised many PhD students.

Research interests:

  • Statistical Quality Control
  • Statistical Process Control​

Prof. Michael Khoo Boon Chong's contribution to the Chair and other Chair members will gain new studies about Explainable Artificial Intelligence applications in intelligent wearable systems, manufacturing, and healthcare areas. His studies and studies at IAD perfectly align to reach Industry 5.0 in the future.
