Prof. Sidharta Gautama
Sidharta Gautama is professor leading research in Intelligent Systems Engineering in the department of Industrial Systems Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at UGent. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Sciences in 2002 from Ghent University, Belgium and has authored over 200 scientific publications and holds four international patents.
His research focuses on intelligent systems for sustainable and Industry 4.0 societies, with expertise in data fusion, spatiotemporal data processing, and data-driven decision support systems that enhance industrial management and urban policymaking.

Prof. Sidharta Gautama's contribution to the Chair and other Chair members will gain new studies about Explainable Artificial Intelligence applications in intelligent wearable systems, manufacturing, and healthcare areas.
