Nowadays. Artificial intelligence (AI) tends to be strongly applied in medicine such as: disease diagnosis; drug research and development; optimized for individual treatment; gene editing.

IAD’s goals are to promote and develop smart health and digital health in the local hospitals and community ecosystem in Da Nang. Thus, on the afternoon of December 29, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗺 (IAD, UDA) and 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝘂𝘂 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴 (Hospital 199) signed an MoU to collaborate in scientific exchange, research, and development of intelligent medicine and digital medicine. Besides, IAD & Hospital 199 will coordinate to organize workshops, and conferences related to innovative health, and digital health. Short-term courses were also considered to boost the human resource quality for both.

At the meeting 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿. 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗣𝗵𝘂𝗰 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻 (IAD) shared his research interests during his research career, AI, and federated setting applications in the medical project. Moreover, short courses in data science were also mentioned.

Then, MD. Tho Nguyen shared recent medical research in IAD. The smart garment is concerned when applying it in monitoring patient's health, detecting stroke, or worker's safety and rehabilitation.

He also showed projects that IAD has applied from 2017 until now.

In turn, 𝗠𝗗. 𝗫𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗵 shared a lot of information about Hospital 199, medical research, projects. Besides, many operations of the hospital require applying AI and DS to improve the hospital system. Hospital 199 has just started AI applications, therefore they need experts in AI & DS to be scientific consultants and advisors from IAD.
In fact, at the Department of Rehabilitation and Occupational Disease in Hospital 199, there are more than 20,000 patients who need to take rehabilitation annually.

At the end of the meeting, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝘂𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝗺 gave a Dragon bridge, a present, to 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝘂𝘂 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗴, the bridge is a symbol for a strong collaboration between UDA and Hospital 199 - Ministry of Police.
