Students of University of Lille, France: Dong A University - an ideal school for learning and research

Choosing Dong A University to be the destination for the exchange program, 5 students from ENSAIT, University of Lille(France) spent 4 months studying, researching and learning about Vietnamese culture. .

At the end of January 2024, Dong A University received 5 students majoring in Textile Engineering and Luxury Fashion Industry from ENSAIT, University of Lille, (France) to study at International Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (IAD).

This is also the second group of students participating in the exchange program at IAD Institute. Previously, in 2023, 3 students participated and had interesting experiences in Da Nang.

All five girls, Victoire Barchemin, Apsara Chea, Thelma Dominici, Eugénie Duffaut and Emma Tronel, had a memorable exchange semester at Dong A University. The experiences of the learning environment and life in Da Nang are not only beautiful memories but also help the girls develop and perfect themselves.

The ideal place to experience an international learning environment

Sharing their feelings since studying and researching in Vietnam, the girls in turn expressed their happiness and honor at the welcome of Dong A University. The friendliness and enthusiasm of the teachers and students of Dong A University have helped French students quickly integrate into the new environment. Besides, the school's facilities for learning and research also help make studying convenient.

The ideal place to learn & develop research

Also researching the topic "How can ChatGPT be used in fashion?" like the previous group, but this time the students focused on applications in marketing activities. At the IAD, they were instructed to use artificial intelligence knowledge platforms to carry out this topic.

After the research process, they came to the conclusion: "AI can work on many services, it highlights significant potential, including: reducing costs, helping a lot in production, increasing efficiency in marketing and customer service, etc. This makes it an indispensable tool for modern fashion professionals.”

It is known that a group of French students had a presentation of these results before the end of the semester at Dong A University. They also shared that, during the research process, they also developed many soft skills and learned many new useful skills about artificial intelligence and data science. In particular, during the survey and implementation of the topic, there was also the opportunity to experience many new things.

The ideal place for cultural experiences & discoveries

Besides focusing on conducting research, French students can also participate in extracurricular activities with Dong A University students. Volunteers who are students of various majors also become companions in experiencing and exploring Vietnamese culture - a country that international friends voted as a culturally diverse destination.

Since the first days of arriving in Da Nang which was around the Lunar New Year, international students also clearly felt the Tet atmosphere of the Vietnamese people. Since then, international friends have had the most honest view and have fallen in love with the country, people and culture of Vietnam.

Therefore, in addition to the scenic spots in Da Nang, French students also take the time to explore Vietnamese cultural life in many other tourist destinations such as Ninh Binh province, Ha Long Bay, Ha Giang loop, Sa Pa,...

"Our choice to participate in the exchange program at Dong A University can be said to be the right decision. We very much hope to continue to have the opportunity to return to Dong A University again."

Sharing during a business trip to Dong A University in March 2024, Associate Professor, Dr. Kim Phuc TRAN - Senior lecturer, researcher at University of Lille, Graduate School MADIS-631, ENSAIT, & GEMTEX Lab, France also said: "Early this year, we received many interview applications to Dong A University for the exchange program in 2025."
